Tokyo Gets Shagged

September 29, 2015

This past September, SHAGBAGG traveled to Japan.

The 80th Annual Tokyo Gift Show was our first trade show overseas — and it was everything you'd hope an international debut would be. New city, new audience, same unmistakable SHAG.

The Tokyo Gift Show is one of the largest trade shows in Asia, drawing buyers and designers from across the world. Showing there meant putting SHAGBAGG in front of a global audience for the first time — and the reception was everything we'd hoped for.

We arrived in shag sandals (naturally), set up our booth, met our neighbors, and spent two days introducing Tokyo to the world of SHAG. The Duke drawstring bucket bag in Bluebird made its international debut. People touched the product, asked questions, and walked away with that look — the one that says I've never seen anything like this before.

That's the look we live for. Whether you're in Los Angeles or Tokyo.
